Hedgeley Livestock was founded in 2006 to help satisfy the rising demand for British livestock from central and Eastern Europe.
From 1996 until May 2006 it has not been possible to export live cattle. That ban, which was introduced following the incidence of BSE in British cattle has now been lifted.
Hedgeley Livestock aims to make it possible for the foreign buyer to source animals from the UK.
We are able to source high quality animals from our extensive contacts in the livestock sector. We will export the animals having made sure that all health and welfare requirements are met and fully comply with UK and European regulations. Our aim is to remove all the problems associated with sourcing and exporting animals from the UK
We have a sourcing, exporting and haulage team who will organize all the logistics and route plans associated with the contract. We also have a good relationship with the British State Veterinary Service and our local veterinary practice who are advising us on the necessary health checks that the animal may need for import into the buyer's country
We offer technical support and advice to help make sure that the animals perform to their maximum potential once delivered to their new farm. We have access to nutritional and veterinary advice as well as 30 years of practical farming skill which has been tried and tested on our own farm. We can also provide training for people that need to improve their livestock management skills, source specialist equipment and trained livestock dogs
Hedgeley Livestock aims to offer the whole package for our customers. We will source, export and support you.
